Elder James Spencer served in the Atlanta Georgia Mission
I came across these coming home photos of James' mission and they just made me smile! I am so proud of him for serving faithfully for two years of his life to share the gospel with the people of the south. He is a man of great courage and faith and I'm so thankful that he is worthy to hold the priesthood. What a great blessing it is to know he can bless my children and baptize them. What an honor it is to hold is hand in the temple. What a gift it is to be with him for eternity. I love my Mr. James the Mission Man so much and am so proud of the decisions he's made in his life that keep him faithful. Isn't he just a cutie!!
When he came off the plane my family and his mother, Lynn, were there to welcome him home. They all wore ties which was a fun tradition I had started when my brother Matt came home from his mission in Ecuador. I was blessed to serve a full time mission as well in the beautiful state of Pennsylvania. I'm thankful for faithful mothers who let their "babies" go off on missions and not see them that whole time. Now having a little one of my own I feel a little of what that mothers sacrifice is like. Missions are amazing. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is amazing. And this beautiful life that we each are blessed with is amazing!
