We just watched the Grinch recently and it is up there with top favorite Christmas shows! There are so many funny one liners, the acting is superb and the music is wonderful. One line Mister James and I laughed at this year was, "One mans toxic sludge is another mans potpourri. I don't know it's some kind of soup!" So so funny that Grinch fellow. I love he smells of the Christmas season, don't you?! Fresh pine, cookies baking, cinnamon & cloves, peppermint, gingerbread...oh they are the best smells of the year. Recently my dearest friend, Alida, gave me a mix to simmer on my stove and I have loved it so today I share it with you!! I put all the ingredients in a mason jar on my heating part of my stove. Not only do I love the smell but it looks pretty to!! Cranberries, cinnamon sticks and oranges, doesn't get much better than that.
I love having yummy smells fill my home year round but Christmastime really is blessed with the best of smells!!! I added a little drop of almond extract to, you can always add a bit of your favorites into the mix. Enjoy this yummy potpourri this year in your home!
