Last week as William slept I cranked out cooking articles for my little side job on the computer. Procrastinated that one, cause I should've turned them in early to avoid baby time. But nevertheless I had to get them all written. James was so sweet and took Jane out on errands with him so I could try and get more done.
When they arrived home he brought three bags full of Mums!!! It was such a surprise and so very thoughtful of him! He was pretty proud of the name ;) of the flower to. We didn't really want to plant them in our front garden until it had better soil in it and so they sat on the counter and waited and waited to be put into the earth. So, we finally went and picked up pavers and soil to prep the garden for planting these beautiful flowers. But then family came into town and it sat still again. Then last night late into the evening Mister dug and paved and filled the garden up. My sweet mom wanted to see it all done and so planted the mums at 10:00 at night while I fed William. A true labor of love from them both. Having a beautiful garden someday all about my yard is a big goal for me and so this little project was a big step towards making that dream a reality! So, so sweet!
I love looking out my front window at this labor of love garden. James has sure been pampering me these last few weeks. It's been pretty awesome I might have to say. I have loved the extra flowers and chocolates and surprises he's given me. Love is definitely not about things and I really don't expect gifts showered upon me, but every once in a while it means the world. Thanks Mister for making our front feel a little more welcoming and beautiful! And for making me feel pretty darn special!
