I made my very first embroidery piece this past month and it was so fun! It's little Lucy the Hog. I have a great love for hedgehogs. Ever since 4th grade I've wanted one of these prickly friends. My teacher Mrs. Murikami had a class pet hedgehog that was free to roll and play around the classroom. I fell in love!
So this little project became a little birthday gift to a fellow hedgehog lover, my sweet sister in law Mary-Katherine. And what perfect timing for she just got her very own hedgehog last week for her birthday. So her little Pearl (pictured above!) now has her own self portrait embroidery 😉. Pretty special and fun for me to give my very first embroidered piece to these two!
