The Silver Lining

The past two days I've been pretty sick...fair food did some number on this mama. It's been awful. You know that kind of sick where you're going at both ends and you feel like you're going to die,  well that may be a little dramatic but it felt that way at moments. And all day long Jane wanted "horsey" from mommy. James had a long tiring day to say the least doing many a horsey ride, qualming the teething screaming and running around with her. Days like these really wear you out especially when you are still not sleeping at night with a sweet newborn. Lack of sleep really can bring out some things in a person they never thought were there. Dark clouds of doom can brink on the horizon and start crashing thunder, if ones not careful. And sometimes that lightning does crack. But if one remembers all the beautiful silver lining on those dark days it truly does bring sunshine back and peace to the Homefront.

Today I'm feeling a whole heap better and am trying to start up one of my big goals of morning exercises, a silver lining. I sent Mister James off for a daddy daughter doughnut date and then jane and I rolled out the yoga matts. I'm really excited to start up Pilates/Yoga again and hopefully be more consistent this round. I really do love the feeling of being stretched, tired from a good workout and being good to my body. It's always been a hardship of mine to keep weight off and it can sometimes feel like an endless treadmill that never works. But I've decided this time round to not think about the weight necessarily and think more on the feeling it gives my body to be healthy and fit. And also to teach my sweet daughter the importance of keeping healthy, enjoying exercise and loving her body! No matter the size, height, skin tone, color of hair or all the other factors of 'beauty' I want my daughter, and all my children to know that their bodies are amazing! Those are some dark clouds that really try to cloud a woman's perspective in this era of our world. You ARE beautiful and you ARE wonderful! Look for silver lining activities and thoughts to keep you going when the times get tough and dark. There really is ALWAYS some silver lining!!

(He's another one of my silver linings!!)
