There is so much to be grateful and thankful for in this world. Each year we have the tradition of writing in leafs things we are thankful for. It's a wonderful way to be reminded about the bounteous blessings we have. This branch was found when I was pushing little 4 month old Jane in her stroller. A neighbor had cut down a beautiful white birch tree and I gathered a few stumps and this branch. That special "giving tree" provided the wood to make a little summer table/bench, a wooden bowl for a wedding gift to my brother, and now it provided the branch for our thankful tree!
I am so thankful for this tradition, I'm thankful for my little family, I'm thankful for our warm and cozy home, I'm thankful for a hardworking husband, I'm thankful for holidays, I'm thankful for toilets (seriously, I am!), I'm thankful for music, I'm thankful for a body, I'm thankful for chocolate, I'm thankful for hats, I'm thankful for water, I'm thankful for a living prophet.....I could go on and on and on and on.....but I'll just end with saying I have much to be thankful for. And I bet if you pause and think about it, you do to!
